Giulio's Restaurant
Taste Meets Tradition in Hudson River Valley
Although it's only 20 minutes from Manhattan,
Giulio's restaurant feels like another world - or at least another time.
Located in historic Tappan, New York, this classic restaurant
has been serving delicious Italian cuisine out of the gorgeous 19th
century manor it has called home for thirty-four years.
As you walk across
the outdoor porch and enter Giulio's massive doors, you are transported
through time. Fireplaces blaze throughout the cozy rooms. Candles flicker
in hurricane lamps on every table. The carved oak walls and porticos envelop
you in richness and warmth.
As you take in
your surroundings, one of the two affable owners extends his hand, "Welcome
to Giulio's." The personal greeting offered by owners Dan Billera
and Lawrence Torreggiani feels much like an invitation to their home.
In a time when every Italian restaurant seems to claim
trendy "trattoria" status, or worse yet, are part of a faceless
chain, Giulio's offers a tradition of enticing dishes at modest prices
in a truly remarkable setting.
Giulio's is divided into several beautiful rooms on
two floors connected by a sweeping staircase. The comfortable bar is
a perfect spot for a glass of Chianti and an order of bruschetta. And
the private Wine Room or Oak Room is an ideal location to entertain
your family and friends.
Giulio's restaurant combines food, wine and atmosphere
to create a singular and unique gastronomic experience. Visit Giulio's
for yourself and make it a tradition of your own.
